The format is dead but the technology is not .
HD-DVD as a recording medium could still work because Blu-Ray does not have a home recorder .

Panasonic are the only company that have released a blu ray recorder outside of Japan, but theirs is not a 2.0 profile player. Does anyone know if sony lg or any other big name brands are going to release blu ray recorders in the near future? I don’t understand what is taking them so long, [...]
