They are popular in Japan and other places. There are no plans to bring them here because US consumers aren’t huge fans of DVD recorders, as DVRs are king in the present.
Because DVD recorders are duds collecting dust at most stores, it makes the idea of bringing blu ray recorders here seem like a dead end too.
You’ll have to get one on import. Search it.
There are Blue-Ray recorders decks out there. But no Multi-Region (Not in USA at least) because they wont make money if its multi-region.
Your best bet will be an Asian Import product, or PC controlled BlueRay recorder.
